What is Sequoia Paralegal Association?
Sequoia Paralegal Association was founded in 1986 as an organization of professionals who share an interest in the field of law and in career advancement. It is an affiliate California Alliance of Paralegal Association (CAPA).
The organization was formed in order to encourage and formalize continuing education and the exchange of ideas among persons in the paralegal profession, to encourage newcomers to the field, and to establish and continue good professional relationships between paralegals and other members of the legal community
Benefits of Membership:
Luncheon or dinner meetings, open to members and guests on the last Tuesday of each month, with informative guest speakers, including local attorneys, judges, county officials, court personnel and legal service providers.
Employment referral service for paralegals and employers.
Networking opportunities.
Annual Membership Directory.
Monthly newsletter, Brief Encounters , containing articles on new legislation, court rules, legal procedures, various educational programs and seminars, and current news pertaining to the paralegal professional on local, state and national levels.
Resource Directory of California legal service providers (CAPA).
Affiliate memberships with the California Alliance of Paralegal Associations (CAPA) and the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).

How do you join Sequoia Paralegal Association?
Membership is available to:
(a) paralegals / legal assistants
(b) students in the legal assistant courses
(c) attorneys, legal assistant educators and other members of the community who endorse the legal assistant profession (Associate Members). Annual dues are set forth below:
